This 35-foot trawler offers unrivalled onboard space and comfort for a boat of just over 10m.
The Highland can cover many miles thanks to its Volvo Penta diesel D2 twin engine of 2x 75 horsepower. Its two machines are located in engine rooms independent of the cockpit. The advantages are numerous: ease of maintenance, better accessibility, and silence in living spaces. In terms of its cost of use, it is relatively economical since, at a cruising speed of 6 to 7 knots, it takes 5 litres per hour. This gives it a range of 1000 miles. Perfect to avoid going to the pump after a long crossing and to be able to take advantage of the anchorages, where, in a suitable catamaran, it is much more pleasant than a monohull. As soon as you switch to fast cruise mode, at 12 knots with the 2x 75CV, the range increases to 450 miles with 12 l/h. Finally, at top speed, it can reach up to 16 knots.
More than its pure performance, the Highland's ability to pass through the sea smoothly and at medium-high is enjoyable. A must when you come from the monohull.
Equipped with its two cockpits (on the Fly or inside), the Highland 35 Pilot remains pleasant whatever the weather conditions encounter. The complete first station, on the Fly, is ergonomic and well protected by a Plexiglas windshield and by, a bimini for the sun and transparent sides for the rain as an option. The second station, interior, can be master compared to the flybridge, and then offers a seat, steering wheel and console. Another option, is annexed to the Fly, and then offers a chest of drawers and a fridge instead of the seat, and just the gas and autopilot controls instead of the steering wheel. The fins supporting the lines of trees are attached to the vaults of the hulls, and provide increased safety in the event of a chance encounter with shoals.
Well-defined living spaces for every moment of the day characterize the Highland 35. The main deck is accessed by a protected cockpit of more than 9 m2, offering a beautiful surface for outside meals, which opens directly onto the saloon. Sheltered from the sun and the wind, you can have lunch there comfortably with easy access to the galley with a hatch opening directly onto the cockpit via a sliding window. The organization of the saloon is simple and efficient: U-shaped bench seat around the table, fitted galley with sink, hob and oven on either side of a central aisle leading to the side accesses to the cabins and to the cockpit chart table/desk. Everything is bright with sycamore woodwork, and very pleasant because it benefits from a panoramic sea view. This friendly place is ideal for circulation, and also offers spacious and clever storage for your sea trips. The Highland also benefits from a huge Fly equipped, in addition to the cockpit, with a seating area for 6 people and a large sunbathing area with thick mattresses (2.20 m x 1.40 m). Whether sailing or at anchor, this friendly and comfortable place, with a panoramic view, is easily accessible thanks to the stability of the platform.
Whether with family or friends, the Highland 35 offers an unforgettable quality of life on board and navigation. At cruising speed, its low consumption (5/6L per hour) allows you to discover kilometers of hills while controlling your fuel budget. What better way to take the time to discover Corsica by sea!
